Company Description

We are a fully licensed Taxi & Private Hire Company (not a mini-cab firm) based in Egham, operating under the Runnymede Borough Council. The Council enforces that all our drivers complete a knowledge test and have passed regular medical exams and Police checks. They also monitor regular tests on vechiles and valid taxi insurances (different from a normal car insurance). Obviously this ensures that you, and your colleagues and clients, are provided with as safe a journey as possible.

History

We have been in operation since 1997 and have quickly risen to be the largest Taxi firm in the area, currently having a 100 strong fleet of cars. This success has been built on providing a friendly, reliable service to all our customers

Operations

We operate a fully computerised booking and dispatching system using a state of the art Global Positioning System for utmost efficiency in dispatching cars and enabling us to pinpoint a driver's exact position. This has the added benefit of only sending job instructions directly to the driver doing that particular collection, meaning that all your client's details are sent in confidence and not broadcast on a public airwave, and also enhancing the comfort of the passenger by not having to listen to a crackly radio for the entire journey.

Our Carbon Footprint

We are a very proud to say that since 2006 Gemini has been one of the main sponsors of the extremely successful Runnymede Borough Council Schools Yellow Bus scheme, helping to cut down on the local traffic and so reduce the carbon footprint. Our Managing Director also sits on the committee that manages the scheme and helps to promote the concept around the country.

Airport Transfers

Due to Gemini Cars' location in relation to Heathrow Airport, just 15 minutes away, we offer one of the most efficient and professional airport transfer services in the region.

For those that are not familiar with Heathrow's 5 terminals, Gemini is able to offer a “meet and greet” service. We have representatives in each terminal who meet our customers and escort them out to their waiting vehicles.

Our service to and from all airports in the southeast are competitively priced, and for travelers coming into any airport we use the internet and telephone services to track the flight's arrival time. This ensures that we are aware of any delays, cancellations or diversions you may experience.

London Black Cabs will charge anything upwards of £40 to travel from Heathrow to the Egham Area.

From 2nd April 2008, Gemini's fares start from £20 for Terminals 1, 2, 3 & 4, and £16 for Terminal 5.

Heathrow Meeting Points

Please Note:

Due to stricter regimes at Heathrow regarding vehicles, starting 7th September 2009, even when pre-booking a car (which we would always recommend) we request that for ALL terminals, passengers call our office after they have collected their bags and are making their way out of the terminal building.

Only then will we instruct the driver, who we will have waiting as close as possible, to make their way to the pick-up point.

We are experiencing particular difficulties at present at terminals 1 & 3 and so we have added directions for meeting points within the appropriate car parks for these terminals below. If we are forced to ask you to meet from within the car park, the minimum fee of £2.50 for the 1st 30 minutes will be added to your fare.

This is an unfortunate measure we have had to take due to forces beyond our control, and we thank our customers for their understanding in this matter.

Terminal 1 - Please ring on way out (see description below)

Terminal 1 International Arrivals Outside Pick-Up Point:

Make your way upstairs to the Departures level and exit the building near Zone C (as you enter the Arrivals Hall, there are lifts situated directly opposite you at the far end of the concourse). Walk across two traffic lanes then go down ten steps onto the lower level (which is level 4 of Car Park 1) and once you have rung us to let us know you have passed passport control, collected any luggage and are making your way out of the Terminal building, we will meet you near the foot of the steps. (A trolley ramp is nearby if you've got lots of luggage).

Terminal 1 International Arrivals Pick-Up Point Within Car Park 1:

Exit the building through the doors to the left when you enter the Arrivals Hall, make your way across the 2 lanes of traffic and up the ramp on the far side. This will take you to Level 1 of Car Park 1 and once you have rung us to let us know you have passed passport control, collected any luggage and are making your way out of the Terminal building, we will meet you in this area. The minimum car park fee, currently £2.50 for the 1st 30 minutes, will be added to your fare.

Terminal 1 Domestic Arrivals (incl Jersey) Outside Pick-Up Point:

The arrivals gate for domestic flights is already on the Departures level. Turn right as you enter the Arrivals area from the baggage reclaim area and exit the building near Zone C. Walk across two traffic lanes then go down ten steps onto the lower level (which is level 4 of Car Park 1) and once you have rung us to let us know you have collected any luggage and are making your way out of the Terminal building, we will meet you near the foot of the steps. (A trolley ramp is nearby if you've got lots of luggage).

The arrivals gate for domestic flights is already on the Departures level. Turn right as you enter the Arrivals area from the baggage reclaim area and exit the building near Zone A. Walk across two traffic lanes then go right and over the covered walkway into Car Park 1A and once you have rung us to let us know you have collected any luggage and are making your way out of the Terminal building, we will meet you in the Set Down Point on level 2. The minimum car park fee, currently £2.50 for the 1st 30 minutes, will be added to your fare.

Terminal 3 - Please ring on way out (see description below)

Terminal 3 – Outside Pick-Up Point

As you enter the arrivals hall from the customs hall, turn right and head towards the Information desk. When you are standing facing the Information Desk, turn left and walk towards the exit marked Bus Stops 16-22 just past the lifts. When you reach the set of doors, exit the building and make your way right around the building. On the left you will see the Valet Parking building, and once you have rung us to let us know you have passed passport control, collected any luggage and are making your way out of the Terminal building, we will meet you in front of this building. However, please do not cross the road in this area as it is unsafe and there are no dropped kerbs for trolleys. If you continue to follow the building round you will come to a pedestrian crossing where it is safe to cross.

Terminal 3 – Pick-Up Point Within Car Park 3:

As you enter the arrivals hall from the customs hall, turn right and head towards the Information desk. When you are standing facing the Information Desk, turn left and follow the signs to Car Park 3 which will take you to a set of lifts. Take the lift up a level and make your way across the walkway to the Pick-up Point located on level 1 of Car Park 3 and once you have rung us to let us know you have passed passport control, collected any luggage and are making your way out of the Terminal building, we will meet you in this area. The minimum car park fee, currently £2.50 for the 1st 30 minutes, will be added to your fare.

Terminal 4 - Please ring on way out (see description below)

Terminal 4 – Outside Pick-Up Point

As you come into the Arrivals Hall from the Customs Hall, turn left and exit the building near WH Smiths, walk across the lanes towards the car park and take the left hand lift up to level 4. Turn left when you come out of the lift and once you have rung us to let us know you have passed passport control, collected any luggage and are making your way out of the Terminal building, we will meet you in the lay-by.

Terminal 5 - Please ring on way out (see description below)

Terminal 5 International Arrivals Outside Pick-Up Point:

As you enter the Arrivals Hall from the Customs Hall, turn left and make your way to the Orange Zone (to the left of Costa Coffee where the pillars are painted orange). From here take the lift up to the Departures level, exit the building via the walkway and once you have rung us to let us know you have passed passport control, collected any luggage and are making your way out of the Terminal building, we will meet you in the first lane close to the lifts.

Terminal 5 Domestic Arrivals Outside Pick-Up Point:

As you enter the Arrivals Hall from the Customs Hall, continue straight along the concourse, past the Purple and Green Zones until you reach the Orange Zone (just past Costa Coffee where the pillars are painted orange). From here take the lift up to the Departures level, exit the building via the walkway and once you have rung us to let us know you have collected any luggage and are making your way out of the Terminal building, we will meet you in the first lane close to the lifts.

Terminal 5 International Arrivals Inside Meeting Point:

When you enter the Arrivals Hall, make your way to Costa Coffee which is located directly in front of you. Your representative will be waiting there for you with your name on a blue and yellow Gemini board.

Terminal 5 Domestic Arrivals Inside Meeting Point:

When you enter the Arrivals Hall, your representative will be waiting by the barrier in front of the Giraffe Juice Bar with your name on a blue and yellow Gemini board.

North Terminal

Outside Pick-Up Point

Make your way down to the far end of the concourse where the Airport Information is. Exit the building through the doors to the left and immediately in front of Airport Information and follow the signs for the Sofitel Hotel, crossing the lanes of traffic and making your way down the left hand side of the car park. We will meet you in the furthest drop-off lane in front of the Sofitel Hotel

Inside Meeting Point

Our driver will meet you at the arrivals area. He will be holding a blue & yellow Gemini board, which will have your name on.

South Terminal

Outside Pick-Up Point

From the Arrivals Hall, follow the signs to “Car Rental”. Make your way along the moving walkway and at the end head down to the ground floor either by the escalator or trolley ramp, still following the signs for “Car Rental”. When you get downstairs, exit the building, turn left and wait at the "Passenger Drop Off" zone near “Fire Assembly Point 7”. Your car will be waiting in this area.

Inside Meeting Point

Our driver will meet you at the Airport Information desk, which is near the arrivals gate. He will be holding a blue & yellow Gemini board, which will have your name on.
